The creation of an integrated informational system of the libraries in Moldova opens new perspectives and possibilities unknown in the daily practice until now of structuring the information, which is performed to our loyal beneficiaries. The possibilities of SIBIMOL will allow the satisfaction of the most informational sophisticated requests. They will ensure the timely and fast exchange of bibliographic data between the participating libraries to the System in order to organise qualitatively the local databases, created in the participating institutions. That is why I urge, dear colleagues, to use with maximum efficiency the possibilities of performed structuring of the bibliographic data, offered with generosity by advanced technologies used in SIBIMOL.

Le 2 Septembre 2008 la Bibliothèque nationale de la République de Moldova a lancé le système SIBIMOL

SIBIMOL désigne un Système Intégrée des Bibliothéques Informatisées de MOLdova. Le directeur du projet et l’auteur de la conception est Alexei Rău, directeur général de la Bibliothèque Nationale. SIBIMOL est un des plus importants projets stratégiques dans la bibliotéconomie de Moldova et de sa culture en général. Sa mise en œuvre faira un changement radical en ce qui concerne l'accès du public à la connaissance et à l'information et marquera le début d'une période toute nouvelle, toute spécialle en développement du système des bibliothèques et de la démocratie, culture et civilisation communautaire dans notre république.
